Bright Leaf Seniors is organizing a powerful Senior Advocacy March at the Colorado State Capitol—a moment for seniors, caregivers, and community organizations to come together and raise their voices.

As government shutdowns and federal budget cuts continue to impact vital programs, our Colorado seniors are feeling the strain. From reduced access to healthcare and housing support to cuts in mobility and wellness services, these decisions are making it harder for our elders to live with dignity and independence.

This march is a chance to stand united and demand better. We invite you to join us—whether you're a senior, a supporter, or part of an organization that serves older adults. Let’s make our voices heard and push for the resources and respect our seniors deserve.

S.H.A.R.P Program free home repair services for seniors

Bright Leaf Inc provides FREE home repairs and food assistance for low-income and disabled seniors and veterans across Colorado through the Seniors Home Accessible Repair Program.

Located in Broomfield but serve the entire state of Colorado.

Bright Leaf Inc offers:

Eligibility:

Age 55 or older
Annual income under $45,000
and/or a qualifying disability

🌿 Mission Statement Empowering seniors and veterans to age with dignity by transforming homes into safe havens and delivering essential support for healthier, independent living.

One of our newest initiatives, the GrandCare Alliance, focuses on a growing and often overlooked population: seniors who are raising their grandchildren. According to a recent study by Colorado State University, over 31,000 seniors in Colorado are primary caregivers for their grandchildren. These older adults face unique financial, emotional, and housing challenges, and our programs aim to provide them with the resources and stability they need.

Home repairs and accessibility upgrades through Bright Leaf’s vendor network
Home assessments conducted by occupational therapists (via partners like Gray Matters Alliance)
Safety modifications including grab bars, ramps, and fall prevention equipment

Food & Nutrition Support

Monthly food kits tailored to senior and child nutritional needs
Access to SNAP enrollment assistance.

Education & Advocacy

Policy advocacy for grandfamilies at the state and local level

In addition to home repairs and accessible remodels, Bright Leaf Senior Resources offers comprehensive yard and landscaping services to help seniors maintain safe, beautiful outdoor spaces. As summer approaches, we provide lawn mowing, aeration, weed removal, and branch clearing, ensuring that seniors' homes remain well-kept and hazard-free. Our goal is to support older adults in maintaining not just the inside of their homes, but also the outdoor spaces they cherish—allowing them to age in place with comfort and dignity.
